Brisbane's hottest engagement ring trends

Engagement Ring season is upon us again!

Whether you’re just casually browsing, dropping not-so-subtle hints to the respective other half or planning ahead, we have collated some of the hottest trends requested from our customers to help you choose that special piece to adorn, admire and most importantly - flaunt to your loved ones.

The common theme seems to be less about the cut or style, but more about how our future bride-to-be's can create something unique that captures their personality. When talking jewellery, this usually equals one thing - colour!

Here are some of the hottest trends coming through our boutique store.

Time to Parti

If you want to take your uniqueness to the next level, a Parti sapphire might be right for you. Mixed with greeny-blues or bluey-green tones, more and more customers are choosing this beautiful stone as a centre-set statement and letting its individuality do all the work.

Popular amongst millennials, these bicolour gemstones are sourced locally in Queensland and New South Wales making them a great choice for those conscious of labour and environmental factors.

Pink is the new black

Sapphires, emeralds and rubies have been common alternatives to diamonds for quite some time, but this year it’s been all about the pink colour spectrum.

The well known Argyle diamond mine in Western Australia is known for producing it’s coveted, rare pink-coloured diamonds and has been a consistent main-stay in the engagement ring shopper’s mind.

While Pink Diamonds sit in the higher end for price, alternatives include light pink sapphires, highly dispersive pink spinels and zircons and blush champagne to light pink morganites.

A not so "matchy-matchy” wedding ring

Future brides are very forward thinking and already planning ahead for the wedding. Stepping away from traditionalism the wedding ring should complement their engagement ring but not be so "same-same".

Think different bands, stones & shapes to create a more eclectic look. Being different is what makes it perfect. This approach also gives you flexibility if you decide to change or upgrade your rings in the future.
